The Nun

            In class before our midterm exam we watched a Russian documentary on a Russian Nun. The documentary followed the story of a mother who decided late in life that she wanted to become a Nun. She made a conscious decision to adopt the lifestyle of a Nun and leave behind her sins. The woman was lead to become a Nun by the feeling that there was something missing in her life. Her strong beliefs and devotion to god allowed her to live a more fulfilling life.

            Personally I thought it was interesting how the woman put herself completely behind the decision to become a Nun. It was powerful to see her strong confidence in her decisions. This story is an excellent example of the inspiration that spirituality and faith can have over people. There are not many other things besides religion that people would be able to put their full trust in and be willing to devote their lives to.
