Jerusalem DVD

Today we were able to watch a DVD about Jerusalem and a brief look at its history. Jerusalem means "the City of Peace". This is a somewhat ironic nickname as the city has been the focal point of much violence over the years including many holy wars. The move then goes on to speak of a Jewish police officer who had family ties to the Holocaust. The man who is named Mickey had family who were killed during that terrible time. The video then speaks about a priest who resides at the church of the holy specter. Father Marwan is a Franciscan priest. Both men are from Jerusalem. The video then goes on to speak on a Muslim site, the Noble Sanctuary.
Jerusalem is one of the holiest cities in the world. It is the location of the three of the world's biggest religions most important sites. I believe that because of this fact, these three religions should be able to coexist together peacefully. Jerusalem was known as a city of religious turmoil for many years but hopefully modern times can see the three religions live together peacefully.
