Cenacolo di Sant'Apollonia

I went to see the Cenacolo di Sant'Apollonia for the weeky visit as well as for my path so when I went, I kept in mind what I had seen and felt at the other places I have visited for my path.  When I first entered, I was amazed at how little there was.  It was mostly a bare room save for some chairs in the middle, a couple benches on the side, and several well-worn frescoes on the wall-that was it.  There was only that one rectangular room.  The rest of the convent has been made into public buildings but the woman at the desk told me that the rest of the convent was nothing more than where the Benedictine nuns slept.  I feel like the Cenacolo di Sant'Apollonia better fit what I expected a place of worship to be like; it was simple with no fuss, its sole purpose being to pray and not impress those walking by.  I liked that about this place.
